Call for Proposals
Funding for IEEE CS Madras SBC Events in 2024
IEEE Computer Society Madras Section, continuing its traditon to support Student Branch Chapters (SBCs), invites proposals for funding to organise in-person, physical events.
The events proposed could be seminars, workshops, symposiums, tutorials, hands-on-trainings, competitions and are expected to engage the SBC members & others and impart knowledge in ICT areas.
We encourage the events are made open to participation by external students and professionals also.
The proposed event could be of duration one day or two days. The funding will be Rs. 10K / Rs. 15K respectively depending on the event proposal presented for review by the Events Committee.
Composition of Events Committee

-- Prof. H. R. Viswakarma, Execom Member, IEEE CS Madras
-- Dr. S. Koteeswaran, Treasurer, IEEE CS Madras
The proposal should include the following details.
-- The nature of the event and the highlights.
-- Proposed date/s (preferably before the end of the year 2024).
-- Budget for the event (to include both income & expenses heads)
-- IEEE CS SBC details such as no. of members, members list, events organised during the current year (2024) till now and in the last year (2023).
-- The contact details (name, email, mobile/whatsapp no) of the IEEE CS SBC chair & SBC counselor.
The proposal (in a single PDF file) prepared by the SBC chair and approved by the SBC counselor, IEEE Student Branch Counselor and the Head of the Institution may pl be sent by email to ieeecsmds@gmail.com by 10th Aug 2024.
The SBCs selected for the funding will be notified by 20th Aug 2024.
The approved funding amount (10K/15K) will be disbursed through the IEEE Student Branch account as soon as the event is completed and the submission of the event report along with the certified accounts of the event.
