Webinar on "Introduction to eLearning Content Creation" on 15th Jun 2020

Dear friends,

Three leading computer societies -- CSI, ACM & IEEE CS in collaboration with ETU team of CDAC Mumbai announce a 90 minute webinar program on "Introduction to eLearning Content Creation"

This webinar is in sequal to the recent "Certified Virtual Classroom Teacher" program conducted (in 3 batches)  in collaboration with Classle SKILLNET which had a focus on content delivery.

The Covid-19 situation has provided enormous opportunity for content delivery / online teaching through a host of  conferencing software such as Zoom, Google Meet, WebEx, Jitsi to name a few.

The proposed webinar program will  address the need to create quality eContent to facilitate online teaching.

It will provide an overview of different types of content that can be created along with relevant examples of actual content. Suitable set of tools used for various tasks associated with  content creation will be enlisted and demonstrated. Pedagogical principles of creating eContent will be also be highlighted to ensure that teachers create effective eContent.

This program is open for the teaching faculty from colleges & high schools and is scheduled on Monday, 15th Jun 2020 from 3.30 p.m to 5.00 p.m.

This program will be run on Google Meet platform and the participation is restricted to 250 on first come first served basis. If there is a sufficient demand, another batch will be considered.

Confirmed participants (after a review of registration information) will be provided with detailed instructions for joining the webinar, well in advance.

A digital certificate of participation will be issued to all active participants who complete the program and provide feedback at the end of the webinar.

The participants will have access to the video recording of the presentation, an eBooklet on relevant tools and the slides of the presentation through the user account  created for each participant on  the Moodle based course portal.

A Forum will be setup on this portal to attend to the queries from the participants  for a   period of one week after the program.

The webinar will consist of two sessions of about 40 minutes each followed by Q&A for 10 minutes.

Session-1  will cover:

Presentation on the Big picture of Online Teaching Learning; Content-the Key to Online Learning; Basic Content - Text, Images, Diagrams, Audio, Video with examples; and Guidelines for effective basic content creation

Tool Demonstrations related to Record Narration in power point; Draw.io; Audacity; and Handbrake

Session-2 will cover

Presentation on Advanced Content - Screen Casts, Interactive Videos, Time Lines, Story Maps, Animation, Simulation, AR/VR with examples; OER, curating already available content, etc.; Content copyright; Content Delivery; and Guidelines for effective advanced content creation

Tool Demonstrations related to VUE – mindmap; and OBS Studio

As an advance information, we wish to state that an intensive 10 hours workshop though five webinar sessions of two hours each will be conducted at a later date but at a nominal cost. The number of participants  in that workshop will be restricted to a max of 100 to facilitate higher level of interactions and personal attention.
